Zero waste Project
Context
Textile waste around the world is a major source of pollution today. In the U.S. alone around 15 mil tons of textile waste is generated ever year, with 85% of that waste reaching our landfills.
Problem
Lack of awareness about the impact of textile waste and lack of skills and sustainability practices in textile use cause textile pollution.
Solution
Leveraging the power of our communities to create an impact on the textile waste. Creating grass-root community movements by inculcating sustainability practices, providing skill training in textile reuse and re-purpose, creating possibilities for sustainable textile waste based small businesses etc.
